Vivo X200 : Specifications, Design and Release Date

Vivo X200 will be officially launched in China in less than two weeks. This year has belonged to Vivo, they are the best smartphone maker this year in my opinion.

Their phones like the X100 Pro and X100 Ultra are the best. The X100 Ultra is arguably the best camera phone ever.

Then in the foldable area, we have Xfold 3 and Xfold 3 Pro, again Xfold 3 remains my number one foldable phone because of the camera, battery, and software, there are lots of reasons behind this.

However, its technologies come up with something new every year and very soon X200 will be coming to China. This is an upgrade of the X100 series.

The X200 will feature a 6.5-inch 120HZ display with a triple camera setup with 50-megapixel lenses, one of which will have three times optical zoom.

Vivo is only competing with itself, as it has the X100 Pro and the x100 Ultra.

    Vivo X200: Release Date

The Vivo X200 series is launching in China on October 14, 2024, and is expected to include the Vivo X200 Pro and possibly the Vivo X200 Mini. A global release is expected sometime after that.

    Vivo X200: Expected Price

The price is not confirmed yet, but if we go by the price of Vivo X100, it is expected to be around 700 to 800$. This phone will be a great hardware for those who are looking for a budget-friendly device.

Vivo X200 has been confirmed to launch in Blue and White colors.

Vivo X200 series: What to expect

Display: The Vivo X200 6.5-inch display could be an OLED LTPO 1.5K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X200 Pro is said to feature a 6.8-inch with 144 HZ OLED Panel 2K resolution slight-curved display.

The design is more squared off towards the sides and bottom, so you still get a bit of an edge to the screen, it’s not a completely flat display, but it’s not as aggressively curved as the X100 Pro.

Processor: The Vivo X200 series is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.

Battery: The Vivo X200 is said to pack a 5,400mAh battery with a 120W wired charger and a 50W wireless charger, while the X200 Pro could get a bigger 6,000mAh battery.

The battery life of this device will last for 10 or 11 hours.

Camera: The Vivo X200 is expected to feature a 50MP OIS primary camera, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 70mm periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. The Pro model could get a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor.

It has to be accepted that 200 megapixels are ultimately not just a number like Samsung has with a 1-in type sensor, it is going to be a great lens to have in light for faster change speed for resolution sharpness cropping.

One thing a 200-megapixel camera will enable you to do is crop the optical zoom up to two times or three times depending on how Vivo and their pixels work.

Other features: The Vivo X200 series phones will have IP68 water and dust resistance rating and will also include an optical fingerprint sensor and an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor.
